CTE
Career Technical Education (CTE) in California high schools is a program that prepares students for college and careers by providing industry-specific skills and real-world experience.
CTE courses are also known as vocational education courses.
AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING ELEMENTARY / ADVANCED
This is a two-year, hands-on series of courses in automotive repair. Career Education will be emphasized to prepare students for entry-level employment in the automotive field. Emphasis will be placed on the safe and proper use of tools and equipment used by the automotive technician.

Topics of instruction include automobile repair work, tune-up, front end/suspensions, and also transmission repair work. Students can earn a certificate of completion for employment as a Lubrication Maintenance Specialist, Brakes and Front End Specialist, Tune-up and Diagnosis Specialist, and Advanced Automotive Skills.
There is an articulation agreement with Rio Hondo Community College in which students can receive college credit via an examination.
EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
This concentration course prepares students to understand children’s physical, mental, emotional, and social growth and development.

ADVANCED EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
This course prepares students for employment in the care and guidance of young children under the supervision of professional personnel. This is an advanced level of comprehensive study of development stages of children from conception through early adolescence including major theories of development and their application through internships.
